about.

a short backstory.

My design journey began back in 2016, when I began embroidering my own t-shirts from my student flat. What started as a passion project; cutting and sewing a couple of t-shirts for myself and a friend, quickly blossomed into a thriving streetwear brand. Within 2 years, I dropped out of my studies of Neuroscience at Glasgow University and found myself pursuing design full time; founding my first limited company, TAXMAN Clothing.

The brand grew quickly; and so did I. With a rapidly expanding skillset, I found myself broadening my horizons; delving deeper into the world of visual art and teaching myself new softwares and practices. I started 3D sculpting and modelling, began animating my own visuals and creating motion graphics - whilst simultaneously honing my craft as an illustrator. I directed my own photoshoots and look-books. I began collaborating with incredible artists, creating visuals for everything from vinyl records and gig posters to merchandise and video animation. The more I learnt, the more the world of design opened up, and merch design became just one of many weapons in my arsenal. 2022 saw the re-branding of the company to TAXMAN Studio; a new chapter to encompass all of my creative pursuits going forward.

Fast forward to now, 2025; TAXMAN Studio has amassed over 10k followers with a devoted community and continues to grow at a rate of knots. With such a strong community backing the business, my personal focus has naturally shifted to advancing as a designer and artist, always eager to level up and evolve in an ever changing industry.
